Primary Function

The primary purpose of this job is to manage the search engine-marketing channel for the credit union across multiple product verticals. The SEM Specialist will manage all paid search campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing, as well as other search and display marketing engines. This individual will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the SEO and Marketing teams in order to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and generate quality leads.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads testing, collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Leads tracking, reporting and analyzing website analytics, pay-per-click (PPC) initiatives and campaigns
  • Manages campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Executes tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Tracks, reports, and analyzes website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manages campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Optimizes copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
  • Performs ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Researches and analyzes competitor advertising links
  • Collaborates with the product analytics team members to understand product KPIs and develop, execute, and report on marketing performance to align with these goals

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
  • In-depth experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite, Adobe Media Optimizer).
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, and WebTrends).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports.
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Facilitate A/B testing to ensure optimization, targeting and marketing goals align with business objectives.
  • Stays current on latest trends, technologies, practices and methods to continually seek innovative approaches to challenges and deepen engagement with audiences

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing SEM campaigns.
