Primary Function

Our internationally recognized client in search of a Freelance Photo Editor to assist on high caliber photo assignments as needed

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform technical editorial post production functions for large volume documentary/reportage photography in a wire service type setting
  • Post Production in Adobe Photoshop to include same day and/or immediate edits, advanced clipping paths, stitching, exposure manipulation, compositing, and skin retouching
  • Panoramic photograph manipulation to include stitching, compositing, and blending
  • Print photographs on large scale Epson Printers
  • Proficiency in file management, tether capture photography,
  • Proficiency in large volume edits with ability to identify efficiencies such as the use of droplets,
  • actions, file sync programs, and other workflow advancements
  • Ability to pre‑determine edit settings based on the different lighting parameters of multiple
  • sets/locations
  • Proficiency with project management and deliver reports as needed
  • Interface and communicate with colleagues and internal customers to assess still photography
  • needs and deliver the highest quality product with the most effective customer service
  • Be constantly vigilant throughout all projects for correct details and quality end product
  • Work with remote resources in the Washington, D.C. area
  • Report to the Photography Supervisor in order to provide the adequate support required

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in photography wire service setting
  • Ability to work in a corporate/business setting and provide creative direction when asked
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • A flexible attitude, excellent verbal & non‑verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment are essential
  • Customer service orientation; professional presence and superior client relationship skills
  • Ability to work 10+ hour days, weeknights, and weekends as needed

Education & Experience

  • A robust portfolio showing before and after photo samples
  • 5+ years experience working a commercial or corporate setting as a Photographer
